After my hip replacement, using a walker was nearly impossible with my arthritic hands. I quickly switched to these lightweight, easy-to-maneuver poles. I love the wrist strap and not dropping them like a cane. Best of all, I no longer feel like an inconvenience to others just because I need support.

Why bring poles?

When the path asks a little more.

  1. A sage green trekking pole planted beside a hiking boot on a rocky woodland path.

A steadier step on uneven ground.

Roots, loose stones and uneven steps can make you watch every footfall. Plant both tips on firm ground for two extra points of contact as you choose your next step.

  2. A hiker holding a foam grip and wrist strap while descending a woodland step.

Give your knees a little help downhill.

Plant your poles on firm ground so your arms can share the work as you step down. A small downhill lab study estimated about 14% lower average knee compression with poles.

  3. A walker using two sage green trekking poles in an alternating stride on a forest path.

Find your rhythm on longer walks.

Let your arms join the stride. A lightweight pair of poles helps you settle into a comfortable walking rhythm, with time to enjoy the path ahead.

Amazingly wonderful on the Camino Bought these at the last minute before leaving for the Camino Frances... paid full price for them, and they are worth every penny! They fold up and store beautifully—very easy to pop into a backpack. So don’t hesitate: if you’re on the fence, buy these poles. You won’t regret it.

I’m new to poles. I had a total knee replacement had back thing so I was trying these out and they were fantastic.

Hi Lorraine, we're so glad to hear you're loving the trekking poles! Wishing you a smooth recovery and happy hiking ahead!

Bought these poles 3 months ago and have really put them through the ringer. Took them with me on the Everest Base Camp trek most recently and leaned on them hard for 10 days. By far one of my favorite pieces of kit, these poles are the lightest I've ever found and twice as tough. Worth every penny if you are an ultralighter.

These carbon fiber poles were awesome on my latest adventure. I went with the Boy Scouts to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and we backpacked 50 miles in Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore right on Lake Superior. After using these poles I won't go hiking without them again. They were obviously extremely light and felt very sturdy. Once I adjusted them to my height I did not bother to adjust them again. Our hike was 70 to 80% level. The times we did climb or descend steep terrain the poles were indispensable. I am 6'2" 200 lbs and they felt very comfortable. The eva handles were a nice touch to keep your sweat to a minimum.

Amazing Hiking Poles

These treking poles are the lightest out there in the market. I used them to trek down the Kaibab Trail and then up the Bright Angel Trail in the Grand Canyon. Amazing, Sturdy, and extremely light. I couldn't recommend enough.

Incredible light weight poles!!! Had a rotator cuff injury and wanted to get a lightweight pair of poles for a 60 mile AT section hike. Poles worked beautifully in all kinds of terrain. Strong and light couldn’t ask for a better set of poles. Highly recommended!

Trekking Poles

Awesome lightest poles for all day hiking. Took to a couple 15 miles, steep elevations, easy to use and fold. Love them. I was considering Black Diamond's but yours beated the weight category. Looking forward to more usages now that the weather is cooler.

    FAQ

A little help before you choose.

What to know about the product and the support that comes with your order.

Are these for everyday walks or just hiking?

Both. Cirrus is a pair of trekking poles for park paths, trips away and hiking trails. Use them when you want extra points of contact on uneven ground or a little support on a longer walk, then fold them away when you prefer your hands free.

Am I buying one pole or a pair?

A pair: two trekking poles. Your set also includes four rubber tip protectors, two mud baskets and two storage bags. The price shown is for the complete set, so you do not need to order two to receive a pair.

    Which size should I choose?

Open the size guide beside Size to find a starting point for your height. The three adjustable pole ranges are 85–100 cm, 100–120 cm, 115–135 cm. On level ground, aim for a relaxed grip with your elbow around a right angle. Choose a range that includes that comfortable length.

Are they adjustable as well as foldable?

Yes. The external lever lock adjusts your walking length within your chosen size range. The sections fold together for packing. Before walking, keep the shaft within its markings and check that every section is fully seated and locked.

How light are they, and how small do they pack?

Depending on size, each pole weighs 5.1–5.8 oz (145–165 g), or 10.2–11.6 oz (290–330 g) per pair. Folded length is 11.8–14.2 in (30–36 cm). Check the specifications above for the exact figures for your selected size.

Which tips should I use on different paths?

Use the carbide tips on firm dirt trails and the included rubber tip protectors on pavement and other hard surfaces. Mud baskets help limit sinking into softer ground. Place each pole where the tip can hold, and take extra care on wet rock or loose surfaces.

Can I pack them for a trip?

Yes. Compare the 11.8–14.2 in (30–36 cm) folded length with your bag; it varies by size. For flights, check your airport's security rules and your airline's baggage requirements before packing. A compact folded size does not by itself determine carry-on eligibility.

When will my order arrive, and is shipping free?

Standard US shipping is free. Estimated arrival is about 10 calendar days after payment, including processing time. This is an estimate rather than a guaranteed date. We will email your tracking details when your order ships.

Can I try them before deciding?

Yes. Take them for your usual walks. If they are not right for you, request a return and refund within 60 days of delivery, including after normal use. A reason is optional, and we cover return shipping. Contact support first for instructions and a prepaid label.

What does the one-year warranty cover?

Defects in materials and workmanship are covered for one year from delivery. Normal wear and accidental damage are not covered by the warranty. Contact support with your order number, a description of the issue and photos when possible so we can help with the next step.

    Why we build

    The OutdoorsIs Not a Performance.

A walk does not need to be fast, far, technical, or photographed to count. It can be a quiet mile after work, a first trail with someone you love, or a day when turning around early is the right call. We make straightforward gear for those days — with useful details, honest tradeoffs, and room for your own pace.

    1. Nothing to prove.

Time outside is already worthwhile. You don’t need to walk farther or faster to make it count.

    2. Details you can use.

Weight, fit, setup, and limits should be easy to find and easy to understand.

    3. Room for your own pace.

Good equipment supports different bodies, different starting points, and different ideas of a good day outside. Choose the route, the distance, and the pace that feel right for you.
